Two dove chicks or squabs are in a nest, made of Pine needles and stems. They are about a week old. You can see their Downey feathers coming in. Oak leaves in the foreground and behind the nest. I was able to get the shot by standing on a 10 foot step ladder and reaching my arm up into the tree, so I was guessing whether or not it was a good shot or not. I was happy with it, except for the pine needle was in the way and I didn’t want to disturb the nest and mom was waiting to return.🤷🏼♂️
