Spring crocuses. 💮🌺
Their beauty lasted only a few days and how intense were their scent and colors attracting the first pollinators. The buzz of bumblebees collecting that heavy pollen was something I didn't want to miss.

A small hummingbird is perched sideways on a thin tree branch. Its body is compact, with a long, straight black bill pointing to the left. The bird’s back and head shimmer with metallic green tones, while its throat and chest are a soft pale gray to white. Its wings are folded neatly against its sides, appearing dark with hints of green, and its tail points downward along the branch. Fresh spring leaves surround the bird—bright green, slightly translucent, and just beginning to unfurl—some leaves are in sharp focus near the bird, while others blur into the background. The background itself is smooth and softly colored in muted greens and browns, suggesting a forest or garden setting and making the hummingbird stand out clearly and calmly against the scene.
