Caught the white butterfly invasion at #framptonmarsh this morning.
Walked out along the sea wall to the eastern boundary.
Out of the wind, hundreds and hundreds of butterflies, large and small white, Red Admiral, Comma, Ringlet, Meadowies, probably 500 in total.

A pair of Greylag Geese sit next to one another on grass with a backdrop of water. Both geese lay facing to the left but the goose on the left has turned it's head to the right so that the two birds face one another. Both birds are a mottled brown/grey with orange bills.

A flock of Brent Gesse return to Frampton Marsh at the end of the day. The birds are grey with black heads, a white neck ring, black wing tips and egdes, and white rear. One goose flies in the central space, numerous other geese fly in a manner that creates a circle around the centrally positioned goose. All geese fly from right to left apart from those at the bottom which face forwards. The sky is a pale blue/grey.

A group of 5 avocets wade in shallow water, searching for food. 4 of the birds are fully visable, the tail of the 5th pokes out from behind the 3rd avocet from the left. The birds are mostly white with black markings around the wings and tail. They have black heads with a long, thin black bill which is upturned at the end and long slender legs.

Stonechats often have a habit of working along fence lines, using them as a lookout for insects.
This habit often makes them quite obliging to photograph as this male at #framptonmarsh proved.
