An example of Monotropa uniflora. A pale plant with no chlorophyll. They are in a group centered in the image. They almost all face the same direction, toward the right side. The flowers are the same colourless pale shade, and the heads are drooped. The petals have a feathery appearance that follows back along the stem. They all rise from thick pine duff on the forest floor. There are small sticks criss crossing around them, and a scattering of small green leaved shoots too.
I was up to shenanigans today.
