A caterpillar of unknown species found on the pavement and brought home to feed and hopefully pupate in soil. Dark brown head and lighter brown body. It's slightly curled, head to left, tail at the right. OM1ii 60mm stacked image.
The glorious bright yellow Dandelion much reviled as a weed by many but adored by those who appreiate its beauty and that it provides essential food for early nectaring insects OM1ii 90mm +x2 extender stacked image
Bombilious Major, Dark Bordered Beefly. Fluffy brown body, big brown eyes close together, long straight proboscis, wings open with dark pattern to upper border - hence the name. This is the first and so far only, Beefly in my jungle this year. It's resting on a stone sun bathing. OM1ii
AN AWFUL shot. TG5 was only camera with a built in flash and working batteries. Not really the best for this job, FZ1K now has a battery! Centre left half a large plant pot which is the Hedgehog feeding station. One HH is inside and to the right is a second HH moving away. The plant is self seeded Gallium, food plant for Hummingbird Hawk Moth.
