Year tick Yellow Wags & a Wheatear all beautifully lined up like musical notes on a wire fence. Too distant to capture sadly.
Enjoyed observing common birds, a Blackcap hunting insects, a nest building Chiffy with a feather in its bill. Also a Cattle Egret in flight

I walked around the whole of Langford Lowfields today & I’m knackered. Found a pair of Yellow Wags, many Willow Warbler & 2 Lesser Whitethroats, all of which were NFY (#189). Nice to see a female Goosander & Peregrine scything through. No luck seeing a Cetti’s still. #birds #ukbirding #nottsbirding

A Leach's Storm-Petrel was found at Idle Washlands, Nottinghamshire today.
Very windy making sea like conditions with the waves on the lake. The Leach's seemed right at home.

At Kilvington this afternoon a Yellow-legged Gull few off North with an intermedius type LBB, 2 Black-tailed Godwits and 2 Redshanks (juvs), C. Sand, min of 26 Little Egrets most I've seen locally, 16 Gypo Geese, 40 Lapwing etc. #nottsbirding

At Besthope this morning before the rain arrived were a Spoonbill, a Cattle Egret, a Great White Egret, 12 Little Egret and 7 Grey Heron. Among the supporting cast were 2 Oystercatcher, 7 Egyptian Geese and around 100 Cormorant
Not counting the 3 or 4 Quail I heard today - but obviously didn’t see - this Caspian Gull was bird #224 of the year. #birds #gulls #nottsbirding

Dipped on a Garganey pair yesterday at Kenfig NNR after a helicopter flushed them into the reedbed, so it was nice to get this drake a lot closer to home this evening. Also added Common Sandpiper to the year and saw 20+ Yellow Wags! #birds #garganey #nottsbirding
