Half the #Atlanticpuffins in North America breed in the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve, just off the coast of Newfoundland’s #AvalonPeninsula – where this pic was taken. It’s Their official provincial bird.

Two parasaur-inspired dinosaurs are imposed over an ocean-themed background. The taller one is based on an Amazon pink river dolphin, and is holding a stuffed animal resembling a puffin with over-long legs. The smaller one is sitting near her tail, and he has markings and wings that resemble an Atlantic puffin. In his hands he holds a model of an Amazon river dolphin.

As it's #PuffinDay, I thought I'd share some snaps of these magnificent birds from my holiday in the Faroe Islands last August. 🇫🇴♥️

These tough little birds have to run the gauntlet as they bring their catch back to feed their single chick. The local gulls will try to intercept and rob them before they reach their nest burrow.
