A landscape oriented image in which a beautiful little dunnock is front and centre. I was photographing birds in the garden when it landed on a pot right beside me. I had to do a little bit of contortion so as to twist round and capture it, trying to be a quiet as possible not to startle or alert it to my presence. Thankfully I managed. The sun was in and out but happily shone at the right moment in order to show its feathers at their stunning best.

It might be a little brown bird but there’s plenty of marvellous detail in the plumage when you stop and look, so fitting, I think, for the #BirdOfTheDay theme of #Feathers set by @alan678.bsky.social.
