Taking it a little easier because of surgery during #endometriosis awareness month, which then moves to #adenomyosis awareness month in April. I was luckily diagnosed with adenomyosis about 9 years ago, so have had a few different management strategies before needing a hysterectomy.

However, if I did not go through this procedure early this year, I would not have found out that my #uterus and #fallopiantubes were developing many, many cysts that Ultrasounds could not pick up, nor the fact that that year, my uterus had quickly developed a severe case of #Adenomyosis.

Year three after being diagnosed with Endometriosis and Adenomyosis.

There's still no cure, still no pill that helps me without affecting my mental health.

But I'm learning to deal with it better 💛

Today is a tight ball of pain. I need to find a way out to take my littlest to have a tooth out. Good job the NHS recommends a hot water bottle wrapped in a tea towel & paracetamol for #adenomyosis. I probably need to be less anxious too as it's no doubt all in my mind. FFS. 😡

Piping up on this thread of many women who might need to know. Till my mid forties I had never even heard of adenomyosis, despite decades of pain and issues in pregnancy. It’s endometriosis but in the muscle of the uterus and only definitively diagnosed with a hysterectomy. It sucks #adenomyosis

Still recovering from hysterectomy and endo excision. Feeling MUCH better but continuing to monitor and heal.
