A tiny Common Sandpiper, a master of "zen," sits peacefully alone on a massive man-made rock wall, ignoring nearby trash caught between the rocks.
My new goal is to have the zen-like patience of this Common Sandpiper.
Just a tiny bird in a huge world, trying to get some alone time, ignoring both the overwhelming scale of the wall and the annoying trash caught in the cracks.

今朝の野鳥@葛西臨海公園 ヒドリガモ、カルガモ、カワウ、ウミアイサ、カンムリカイツブリ、ウミネコ、コガモ、オオバン、アオサギ、カイツブリ、マガモ、イソシギ、ハジロカイツブリ、ハシビロガモ、ユリカモメ、セイタカシギ（今季初認）、スズメ、ヒヨドリ、ブト、メジロ、ムクドリ、ハクセキレイ、キジバト、トビ、オオジュリン、シロハラ、アオジ、ウグイス。今日は環境を変えて葛西臨海公園へ。2016年8月以来のセイタカシギに遭遇。ウミアイサは雌雄が見られた。イソシギも1羽。

Ein Flussuferläufer (Actitis hypoleucos) an der Nidda.
Er gehört zur Familie der Schnepfenvögel und ist in Deutschland stark gefährdet ("Rote Liste"), daher nicht so oft bei uns zu sehen. Umso erfreulicher ist es, hier am Rand von Frankfurt ihn gesehen zu haben.

Enjoyable @WeBS_UK count at the #AlstonWetland patch this morning. Trickle of Autumn wader passage with a nice group of 8 #Redshank, 4 #CommonSandpiper, 143 #Lapwing, 8 LRPs & 2 #Curlew. 6 #CommonScoter flew west but another 3 drakes had wet bellies & made it onto the count.
Relatively quiet at #Lodmoor, #Weymouth today. Lots of shouting #Cettis, #Chiffchaffs, #ReedWarblers though. Also #CommonTerns, #CommonSandpiper, #MarshHarrier & some #Shelducklings! Also a gorgeous misty morning. #UKBirding
