- nothing ever goes wrong in a secret lab
- this was not a reckless decision AT ALL
- having only unspoken conventions on war crimes is unhelpful

1) This book was originally a quest inspired by the Acrocorinth
2) Only one scene survives from the first ever draft of the original story idea
3) The primary MC of this book was not a POV in that original tale
#CRPBrimstone The thing that caused all the frustration was being aware that, as a Protestant, I have a certain bias that I couldn't bring into the world building.
Not all POVs are reformists but their faith had to have the same degree of conviction in their chapters
#CRPBrimstone I particularly love the fractured religion that's dominant in this part of it. It's caused a lot of frustration to build it out in a way that makes sense, but the reformation has always fascinated me and to take those ideas and make it a big part of the book? It's a lot of fun
