If you are triggered by gendered violence, SA, misogyny, repeated unending burdens on places on women, have I got a show for you to avoid! #Cdrama #FlourishedPeony which continues in season 2 called #InTheNameOfBlossom is like being hit in the face with a misogyny stick over & over again. OUCH.

That's true! He is starting to shine in the #cdrama #LoveBeyondTheGrave more and more in the moment...each episode more...
I'm very intrigued where this journey goes. But I agree his performance in #FlourishedPeony was my favourite so far too!

I love MilesWei but his peak role was as the villain in #FlourishedPeony when he just really shone.

There’s legitimate criticisms because SHE IS A CHILD & he’s nearly 30 in #GoGoSquid, but watching all the gendered violence & awful things Mudan is going through in #FlourishedPeony, I am retroactively revising my opinion that she should be allowed to be childish & loved by her parents & older BF.

I’m on episode 23 of #FlourishedPeony, having already seen #GoGoSquid years ago. It’s like if the characters from FP were reincarnated, promised to meet & love again, but Mudan wanted—

#FlourishedPeony (and it’s part 2 that was renamed #InTheNameOfBlossom) for its production value, impecable character development, social commentary and fascinating story. Nothing like a smart couple working together towards a common goal. 10/10

Yes, this would be my analogy. Although there were excellent dramas throughout the rest of the year, nothing quite topped #FlourishedPeony for me (although #ThisThrivingLand would have come close had I completed it then! - I’ve just recently picked it back up again, & it’s certainly comparable)

It reminds me of feeling that way about #FlourishedPeony about this time last year. Like we’d already seen the best and nothing else could top it, despite being really still at the start of the year.

I love both leads and then we get Miles from #FlourishedPeony as second male lead! I hope ill love it!

With regards to pacing, I have the same feeling I had when watching #FlourishedPeony (I think Dani mentioned this?) - I don’t mind it slowing down sometimes because I just want to immerse myself in the sights/sounds/characters as much as possible 🙂

I'm on Spring Break - so part of me thinks I should be watching something NSFW - lmao.

The production value and feel of the story reminds me of #FlourishedPeony.

#TianXiwei is a force of nature, carrying the entire #cdrama with ease. #ZhangLinghe is delivering on the pretty boy in distress performance, clearly he fell first and hard.

If we take some well made, well acted recent historical dramas like #TheDouble, #TheGlory, #LoveLiketheGalaxy & #FlourishedPeony - dramas that are visually appealing, yet also contain strong character psychology & layered, morally complex performances: are these idol dramas or serious dramas?

#FlourishedPeony is so good! I know some people aren’t big fans of Yang Zi, but she’s excellent in this

Be prepared for some traumatic patriarchal violence in the first few eps (& again halfway through) - but I promise there’s a lot of warmth & friendship in this story too, so don’t be put off
