Aridus Wine Company Limited Production Sauvignon Blanc 2023, Arizona Light yellow in color. Nose of citrus, red and yellow apples, pears, Mediterranean spices, light minerals and white pepper. Full-bodied with medium plus acidity. Dry on the palate with limes, apples, pears, melons, sea salt, light earth, herbs and spices. Long finish with lemons and light herbs. This is a delicious Sauvignon Blanc from Arizona. Elegant and rich. Complex and interesting. Tangy and spicy. Good right out of the bottle, and better after 30 minutes of airtime. Better when not too cold. I've had a few vintages of this wine, and this is my favorite so far. Not a typical New World Sauvignon Blanc, which is nice to see. A great sipping wine, refreshing and easy drinking. A blend of 89% Sauvignon Blanc, 10% Malvasia Bianca and 1% Muscat. 13.4% alcohol by volume. 92 points. $40.

This is a very tasty Sauvignon Blanc from Napa Valley. Easy drinking, crisp and refreshing. Spicy and entertaining. Good right out of the bottle, and better when not too cold. Nicely balanced and tangy. I had the previous vintage, and this one is drinking better. Showing better balance and feels very much like a New World Sauvignon Blanc. Would be interesting to try it again in 3 years. Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food. Would pair nicely with fresh seafood dishes. I paired it with a Brie cheese from Wisconsin. 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes were aged in (50% new) French Oak barrels for 11 months. A small production of only 18 barrels. 14.2% alcohol by volume. 91 points. $50.

This is a very tasty Chardonnay from Russian River valley. Spicy, creamy and entertaining. Fruit forward and elegant. Tangy and interesting. I've had a few vintages of this wine, and so far the 2019 was my favorite. Easy drinking and good right out of the bottle. A good quality wine, and good by itself or with food. 100% Chardonnay grapes where aged in (20% new) French Oak barrels for 8 months. A small production of less than 3,000 bottles. 13.9% alcohol by volume. 89 points. $35.

Still not drinking at its peak, and will continue to age nicely in the next 7 years. A great sipping wine that will also pair nicely with a big piece of steak. Medium plus in length on the finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries. This young Russian River Pinot Noir is starting to drink very nicely. Fruit forward and elegant with a soft mouth feel. Showing nice complexity and good balance. Will continue to age nicely in the next few years. Would be nice to revisit it in 3 years and see how it evolved. Fruity nose of sweet raspberries, cherries, tobacco, light wood, herbs, spices, black pepper and chocolates. Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs. Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, light vanilla, tobacco, chocolates, licorice and peppercorn. Long tangy finish with soft tannins and raspberries. This Zinfandel/ Petite Sirah blend from Washington State is drinking very nicely right out of the bottle. Spicy and fruit forward. Juicy and elegant. Already showing nice complexity. Nicely balanced, and not cloying at all, which was a great surprise. Delivers more than its price point, and drinks like a $35 California Cabernet. Interesting stuff. Easy drinking and good by itself as a sipping wine. I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses. Went really well with prosciutto, and will also pair nicely with a burger. A blend of 51% Zinfandel, 38% Petite Sirah and 11% Lemberger. Aged in French and American Oak barrels for 26 months. 14.5% alcohol by volume. 91 points. $18.
