Red Sword-grass moth sitting on wooden plank

Red Sword-grass moth sitting on wooden plank

Red Sword-grass not a rare moth nationally, but very rare on the Dungeness peninsular, 1 in2021 was the first since 1963, my one today is I believe the second. No doubt SC will put me right if necessary.

I wonder if any UK moth-ers out there recognise this Moth larva .I found it back in May ,it was around 25mm in length and appeared to be more or less fully grown ,and possibly a Sedge/Grass/Rush feeder. Any ideas/opinions much appreciated ! @kentfieldclub.bsky.social #kentmoths #mothsmatter #ukmoths

I was very pleased to find this Crimson Speckled as wandered along beside the railway at Dungeness this afternoon. @migrantmothuk.bsky.social My VC15 trap was as expected very poor.

Streak Moth on one of an egg box.

Streak is fairly common moth on the peninsula, I think I was the only trapper here not to have caught one, so I was delighted to find one in my VC15 trap this morning.
