Decay's not an issue; loved the focus & grip on the finish. It's fully ready but lively. It's not at all urgent to drink it up. A prime time wine, not much more I could ask for given the reasonable pricing and the marathon aging. 13% alc, $21 retail then.

Chateau Capbern Saint Estephe Rouge 2015, Bordeaux, France Pretty color of dark ruby with a wide reddish rim. Fruity nose of black currants, black plums, light oak, spices, tobacco leaf and dark chocolates. Medium plus in body and elegant, with medium acidity. Dry on the palate with blueberries, cooked cherries, black currants, plums, light cedar, earth, herbs, chocolates, spices and black pepper. Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries. This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from Saint Estephe. Elegant, and still very fruit forward, for a 10 year old wine. Will continue to age nicely in the next few years, but already drinking beautifully now. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Wine Enthusiasts 93 points. Wine Spectator 89 points. Easy drinking and good by itself or with food. A blend of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot. It's time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish, cloudy rim. Red fruits on the nose with light oak, tobacco leaf, herbs, earth and light chocolates notes. Medium plus in body with medium acidity. Dry on the palate with black currants, black plums, cooked cherries, herbs, light vegetables, earth, dark chocolates and peppercorn. Nice finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries. This 10 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Saint Estephe is starting to drink beautifully now, but still feels young. Needs a couple of hours to open up properly, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years. Showing good potential to become a 94+ point wine in 10 years. Rich, but not extracted. Soft and elegant. Fruity and complex. Nicely balanced and interesting. Good by itself as a sipping wine, and will pair nicely with food too. A blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot. Aged in all New French oak barrels for 20 months. 13.5% alcohol by volume. 92 points. $180.
