#AntagonistApril

The demon lord in all his demonic glory~ He prefers making appearances in his demon form~

Maybe one day I'll draw his human form. Whenever I feel like drawing again.

And then also added three of his minions that appear in book 1, with Sakris being the main book 1 antagonist~

Today let’s get a good look at your main villain.

Show me a piece of art of your main villain, or some villains that are important in your story.

If you don’t have any art of these characters, just give them a description for us. What kind of presence do they have in a room?

Farris can protect himself and doesn't need his minions to protect him. Since he is a cult leader, he is very manipulative and easily can get people to do things for them. How he works is that he uses his "well-meaning" parent-like voice at least around the younger followers..(1/1)

Making your villains rely on and love others is the best way to humanize them 😀 #AntagonistApril

Bloodmaster #3: Tenebra is more than capable of defending herself. If anything, in a fight, her minions get in her way. Her social power is only average, though; she's an incredible mercenary, and her only value lies in her ability to get shit done.

Kinda. While in prison, he had to to get what he wanted. He had to rely on his followers to give him energy and get the job in freeing him done. But once he was freed, he didn't care about anyone. Just himself and his vengeance

The Sorceress and The Followers of Death are all super loyal to Death. The big bad.

Carter doesn't care about Death or anyone else. He only helps Death cause Death can give him what Carter wants. He definitely drags his feet and gives out a lot of sass lol

Death: Yes & No. While he was imprison, he does his meddling but had to have others do the main work cause he couldn't

Sorceresses: Eh. She knows how to manipulate others to get what she wants

Carter: Yes he does. Only have others do the work when he physically can't

All of them are capable on their own, but most of their power comes from the organizations they run.

I think the weakest antagonist, if he lost everything, would be Commander Laterius Vitrium of the Dragon Order. He's charismatic, but not as smart as my other antagonists.

#AntagonistApril 21. Is your main villain reliant on anyone?

Arielle would be very offended if you said this to her face. She believes she is completely capable of moving worlds all on her own and doesn't need to rely on anyone. And maybe things would have been different had she had allies

Yes. Torlash couldn't push his plans alone. He's incredibly powerful, but it's just not feasible to run everything he wants at once by himself. Hideyoshi is a human paladin, so, despite his powers, he can't do much without support.

#antagonistApril day 21:

WIP 1: The Monster King and Queen are crazy powerful. They’re super strong, fast, learn quickly, have infinite magic energy, and are both functionally and magically invulnerable. And that’s only some of what they’re capable of. But they rely-

So Ahroun is strong on his own. Even after the events of Drinks with Tom 3. He is quick with his vorpal blade, quick with his claws, and quick to anger. (1/?)

Eanok doesn’t need anything or anyone to make himself powerful.
He’s the Mistwarden. The God of Fear.
In fact, considering the caliber of those under him, it’s a statement to his power and social savvy that he’s able to keep such individuals under heel.

#AntagonistApril #Paleotheos

Most of those under Eanok are there do to deals and alliances. And he makes sure they understand that they need him more than he needs them.
Fear keeps most in line, while the rest are still smart enough to not cross a god.

#AntagonistApril #Paleotheos

Eanok tends to leave the dirty work to others. But, he will handle things personally if he feels the need to exercise his godly power.
Usually if a problem/foe is one he considers his equal.
Though, if Mecana is involved, he lets no one but himself handle it.

While they like to work from the background and not expose themselves to danger unnecessarily like most Skarith, Hand of gold and virtue is still a incredibly powerfull and ancient magical entity.

my main villain relies on his minions, although he will say otherwise. his minions don’t feel used though and believe it’s an honor and a privilege to serve. without his minions, he’s basically powerless. his high social power is what matters

#AntagonistApril

Though incredibly powerful on their own, without minions my main villain would be nearly insignificant.

Their entire existence is obscured, and they cannot be found. But that works both ways. They rely on manipulating their minions from afar.

21. #AntagonistApril
The main antag of Book 1 absolutely needs their allies. They would never admit to it, but their popularity only hinges on how much influence they have. Bullies always have friends.

Bensoria & Odilon are powerful on their own (being Fairy Monarchs & all), but they do have their limits (cold iron is a Fae bane) & they have standards (such as not killing anyone personally but having someone else do it)

Los necesita más como ayuda para mantener control y supervisión XD Morothar por si solo es bastante poderoso, lo suficiente como para ser un rey aceptable en un reino donde ese puesto implica combatir.

No lo es más que Arthion, cosa que le frustra XD

Sidonay needed Fumatsu's protection, and Fumatsu is a powerful Demon Lord who can handle things on his own. In fact, in the Hierarchy, if any demon beneath Fumatsu could kill him and take his position, they would.

Ingrave is highly capable. He had a distinguished military career about a decade before the story.

De Roche is a total coward who can't deal with even a little danger and hides behind others—

such as Blackthorne, who is peerlessly capable, unkillable, a godlike swashbuckler.

There is a theme on both the villains' & heroes' side that you can't do everything alone. The big guys need the little guys regardless of whether they think they do.

Yeah, the villain can protect themself, but ✨️ew✨️. Get their hands dirty like a PLEB?

#AntagonistApril Nekane does. Her power is in her sway over others.

François does not. His power is small in comparison, but it comes from his own strength, insanity, and obsession.

Durinkal as an emperor holds high social/ political power but he IS legitimately powerful, he knew that if he did not have the power himself to back up his imperial power then he'd be overthrown easily so he DID get training to improve his magical and physical abilities.

#AntagonistApril Day 21

Nihilox’s power is derived from the tides of oblivion, which are controlled by the unseen Imperator - this is true for all agents of Tahr’Tareos.

Those that become members gain a superhuman level of power and are capable of defending themselves. Still, strength in numbers.
