I don’t tolerate steroids well ( #EDS) &…did I really need this? Trying my best not to tempt fate & sleep as much as possible; do the good illness things.

MCL is not great when my knee hyperextends. Back to NHS orthotics. Not holding out much hope as the plan is to ‘increase the size and bulk of the brace.’ Not sure this will be tolerated by my skin or my brain. Surely, there’s a better solution. I suspect I may be entering custom brace land. #EDS

Over the years, it became associated with body shaming and emotional trauma for many, particularly those facing physical limitations. The test was abolished in 2013 after widespread criticism.

Instead of any behavior that indicated that I measured up, everyone would react with utter shock and surprise every year when I finally reached the test I could pass. Nobody ever questioned what might be going on in a body that can't run a mile, but is very stretchy. #eds #zebra #survivor #trauma
