In the grounds of St Luke’s Church, the church in the woods, Milland. On the border of West Sussex and Hampshire. When I visit the garden centre I have to call in at this church. It’s such a peaceful place.

It's a bright, sunny day with deep blue sky and only a few light patches of cloud in it. We're at the bottom of a small but steep, grassy hill flanked by bushes and small trees. We're looking up at the crest of the hill to where a large, medieval castle in good condition is standing. It's made from light stone and bricks. On the left side there's a tall, cylindrical tower with numerous windows zig-zagging up its exterior that look to have formerly been arrow slits. The bulk of the castle front facing us on the right of the tower is flat fronted with a range of windows, and both the main part of the castle and the various towers are all topped with crenellations. Large, Gothic-style windows suggest grand halls within parts of the castle.

Yesterday started well with a toasted #hotcrossbun with bacon and maple syrup. The most wonderful trip to @arundelcastleuk to see the #tulipfestival and wander around the town. Then a jaunt to the coast for some sea air. #campervanadventures #westsussex
