This 5 year old Merlot from Saint Emilion is drinking beautifully now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years. Nicely balanced with nice complexity. Rich and fruit forward. Very fresh nose of red berries, and medium plus in body with medium acidity. Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, red currants, earth, light wood, spices, coffee, dark chocolates, tobacco leaf, herbs and peppercorn. Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries. This 6 year old Merlot from Saint Emilion is still very young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Elegant and complex, but a little restrained now. A good quality wine. Very fresh and young tasting, and a good food wine. Will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years. Has good potential to become a 94+ point wine. A blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. Aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. 13.5% alcohol by volume. 90 points. $30.

Dry on the palate with black currants, blueberries, plums, cooked cherries, spices, light cedar, licorice, chocolates, dark coffee, herbs and black peppers. Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries. This is a delicious Merlot blend from Saint Estephe. Rich, smooth and elegant. This second wine from the Third Growth Chateau is showing nice complexity and a soft mouthfeel. Good right out of the bottle, and better with airtime. This 10 year old is drinking beautifully now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. A great sipping wine. Plush and fruit forward. A blend of 57% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc. Aged for 17 months in (50% new) French Oak barrels. 13.5% alcohol by volume. 92 points. $60.
