This is a delicious 7-year-old Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa valley. Medium plus in body with medium acidity. Dry on the palate and complex. Showing red and black fruits with light cedar, tobacco, chocolates, black pepper, vanilla, licorice and spices. Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries. Nicely balanced, rich and elegant. Will continue to age nicely in the next 7 years. Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime. I had different vintages of this wine, and it is very consistent. A great sipping wine, and good by itself or with food. A blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon with Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Aged in (40% new) French Oak barrels for 18 months. A small production of only 2,700 bottles. 14.5% alcohol by volume. 92 points. $85.

Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries. This is a nice Merlot based blend from Haut Médoc. Rich and engaging. Wine Enthusiasts 89 points. Wine Advocate 88 points. Loved the low alcohol on this one, easy drinking and a good food wine. A blend of 71% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Petit Verdot. Long finish with fine grained tannins and cherries. This is a delicious Syrah blend from Israel. Rich and extracted. Fruit forward and elegant. This 6 year old is showing a soft mouthfeel, and in your face kind of wine. Nicely balanced with nice complexity. Good right out of the bottle and easy drinking. Good by itself as a sipping wine. A blend of 85% Syrah, 12% Petite Sirah and 3% Petit Verdot. Aged in French oak barrels for 14 months. Kosher and not Mevushal. 14.6% alcohol by volume. 92 points. $55.

This Single Vineyard Petit Verdot is rich and fruit forward. Nicely balanced and spicy, with a nice mouthfeel. Bold and good by itself or with food. Bosma Estate Winery Cattle Baron Reserve 2022, Rattlesnake Hills, Washington State Purple in color with a short purple rim. Strong nose of black currants, cooked cherries, plums, coffee, light oak, spices, chocolates and peppercorn. Full-bodied and spicy with medium acidity and long legs. Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cherries, oak, spices, dark chocolates, earth, garrigue, light vegetables, tobacco leaf and light licorice. Nice finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries. This is a very tasty red blend from Rattlesnake Hills in Washington State. Rich and bold. Spicy and entertaining. Nicely balanced and complex. The Syrah is very dominant at the moment. Elegant and fruit forward. Needs a couple of hours to open up properly, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Good by itself as a sipping wine, or with food. A blend of 40% Malbec, 39% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Petit Verdot and 8% Syrah. Aged in (33% new) French oak barrels for 18 months. Château Lascombes Margaux Grand Vin Grand Cru Classé 2022, Bordeaux, France It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Inky in color with a short reddish rim. Pretty nose with wild flowers, black fruits, light cedar, earth, Indian spices, dark coffee, tobacco leaf and herbs. Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs. Dry on the palate with black currants, black plums, cedar, cooked cherries, spices, licorice, light vanilla, tobacco leaf, herbs, peppercorn and earth. Long finish with grippy tannins and tangy cherries. This delicious Cabernet Sauvignon blend from Margaux is still so young, but drinking beautifully already. Rich and soft. Complex and interesting. Showing good structure with a spicy nose. Needed a long time to open up properly. This 2nd Growth Margaux is Complex and nicely balanced. Ripe and delicious now, but in your face kind of wine. I had the 2018 not too long ago, and it was drinking better. Needs a few years to relax in the bottle. Would be nice to revisit it in 7 years, and will continue to age nicely in the next 20 years. A good sipping wine, that will also pair nicely with a big piece of steak. A blend of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and a touch of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Aged in (60% new) French Oak barrels for 18 months. 14.5% alcohol by volume. 92 points. $90.
