Oddly, a pipe open at both ends cuts through a mudstone mound in a desert-like, dryland environment. A dry erosion channel comes in from the left, leading to a low spot with a few scrubby plants. Above and left a pair of huge boulders appear ready to slide down the hill, while in the background we see stratified cliffs below round-topped prominences.

Common Grackles are glossy blackbirds, but in sunlight, they display iridescent, metallic colors including purple and steel-blue on their heads, and bronzy-purple on their bodies. Males are more vibrant, while females are duller, often appearing dark brown. Both sexes have bright yellow eyes and long, dark tails. 2 mallards sit side by side, a female in the foreground and the male behind. It is a head shot; the female is in sharp focus and the male is behind her, slightly out of focus, as it should be. lol. She is a beautiful, subtle combination of tans and dark browns and he is a loud, look-at-me, I'm more important, shade of iridescent green and purplish-brown with a white collar. But he is still in her shadow.
