A wild Carrot plant seed head,which is a woody inward curling cupped basket-like structure and is often referred to as a "Bird's Nest. Within this structure are seed-bearing stalks gathered in a tight cluster which can be seen. They are covered in protective hooked spines. The seed head has a long thin stem and sways in the breeze.
