Strong nose of red and blue fruits with light wood, mediterranean spices, earth, oregano, light vegetables, rhubarb and black pepper. Medium plus in body with medium acidity. Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, sweet cherries, earth, chocolates, tobacco leaf, herbs, light oak, black tea, vegetables and peppercorn. Tangy on the finish with fine grained tannins. This tasty red blend from California is complex and fruit forward, with enough earth notes to round it up. Nicely balanced and easy drinking right out of the bottle, with a very interesting nose. Showing nice complexity already, and enjoyable even by itself. Feels like a Cotes du Rhône red. Very interesting out of California.
